Discover the Lang & Heyne Hektor: A Masterpiece of German High-End Watchmaking
When one thinks of elite German watchmaking, A. Lange & Söhne often comes to mind. However, there’s another prestigious brand, even more exclusive, producing fewer than A. Lange & Söhne’s 5,000 pieces annually. This is a rare find for connoisseurs of exceptional independent watchmakers.
Lang & Heyne, established in 2001 in Dresden – a departure from the typical Glashütte-based German watchmakers – is renowned for its exquisitely handcrafted timepieces. With an annual production of just 100 to 150 watches, this boutique brand is celebrated for its adherence to traditional watchmaking craftsmanship.
Jens Schneider, the accomplished Director of Development at Lang & Heyne, boasts a distinguished career in German watchmaking. His tenure at A. Lange & Söhne saw him play a pivotal role in developing several iconic timepieces, including the Zeitwerk.
We’re excited to showcase the Lang & Heyne Hektor, introduced in 2021. This timepiece is the brand’s inaugural venture into stainless steel sports watches, marking a significant and innovative departure from their classic dress watch designs. It heralds a bold new chapter for the brand.
The Hektor exemplifies meticulous attention to detail. Its centre dial features an intricate “petticoat” pattern, while the movement is a testament to classic German engineering, displaying mastery in both design and execution.
The essence of Lang & Heyne can be encapsulated in one word: craftsmanship. The exceptional finishing on their movements is captivating, reflecting a palpable quality that can be felt the moment you hold this high-end timepiece.
This exclusive watch is available in just 99 pieces, offered in three sophisticated colours: dark blue, medium grey, and dark green.
Making headlines, the Hektor was auctioned at Phillips last November, fetching an impressive HKD 252,000. A must-have for discerning collectors and enthusiasts, this is a piece that truly defines luxury in watchmaking.
